Consortium for Rural Women Agricultural Organization (CORWAO) is a Women led faith-based Organization that is non-political, non-profitable for development and National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) based in Juba-South Sudan founded in 2023, but legally registered by Relief and Rehabilitation Commission under NGO Act, 2016 with registration No: 5948. CORWAO South Sudan Compliant with South Sudan NGO regulatory requirements and Board of Directors and governance structures in place.

Vision: A South Sudan where rural women, Youths and persons with disability are recognized as key drivers of agricultural innovation, household nutrition, and social transformation.

Our Mission

CORWAO is committed to empower and expand Economic Opportunities for Rural Communities, access to justice, peaceful cohesion especially the disadvantage individuals such as women, girls, persons with disability, IDPs and youth in South Sudan to achieve sustainable livelihoods, Food Security and community resilience through integrated agricultural and development programs.

CORWAO strengthens rural communities by creating communal farms, distributing seeds and tools, and training farmers in modern practices.

Through maternity unit construction, healthcare staff training, and mobile clinics, CORWAO enhances access to quality healthcare.

WASH

By drilling boreholes, rehabilitating wells, and constructing latrines, CORWAO provides clean water and safe sanitation.

CORWAO invests in inclusive education by building accessible classrooms, training teachers, and supporting literacy programs.

Using a God-Centered Approach, CORWAO fosters reconciliation through dialogue, community peace committees, and training local mediators.

CORE Values and Guiding Principles

Our Core Values: Empowerment, inclusivity, resilience, accountability/transparency, collaboration, humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality/independence, integrity, partnership and sustainability.

CORWAO was born by a desire to aid without discrimination to the vulnerable people and to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples.

CORWAO does not discriminate based on nationality, ethnicity/race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It endeavours to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give priority to the most urgent cases of distress.

In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, CORWAO does not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.

CORWAO is independent. It always works for the people who are in dare needs of humanitarian services without falling under influences of any political, religious and ideological nature. The decisions will be mostly guided by these principles which are underlined in the organizational documents and form part of the policies.
